ABOUT ME

I used to work in the city, at times focusing on the superficial whilst ignoring the things that are really important. I took a chance and let go of my past with all its trappings and discovered yoga. This has led to a fulfilling career in the fitness industry. I am a qualified yoga, pilates instructor and a personal trainer.

​

I trained in India, not just on the physical technique of yoga but also on the holistic benefits, such as coping with stress and anxiety. This has helped me cope with personal grief after my partner suddenly died. I learnt whilst it is not always possible to control what happens on the outside, with yoga you can help control what goes on in the inside. 

​

My individual approach to fitness is not only on the physical benefits but also on the total wellbeing, technique, whether it is used in a strengthening or stretching exercise  is very important in order to develop a strong & safe practice, avoiding injuries. I can coach anyone from beginners to advanced levels in yoga, plates and fitness.

​

Available for online classes in groups and one to one.

YIN YOGA

Yin yoga  stretches and target deep connective tissues between the muscles and the fascia throughout the body... open to all levels. Expect deep stretchings with the use of props to accomodate all. Click on the picture for more details.

PILATES FOR ORTHOPEDIC CONDITIONS

Do you suffer from back/neck pain (specific or non), arthritis, osteoporosis, joint hypermobility, rotator cuff tendonitis or impingement or tear, frozen shoulder, knee or hip replacement? I am professionally trained to deal with these conditions & give you the best chance for recovery.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience & Expertise

YOGA TEACHER

200 hours yoga teacher training. The yoga I was taught is based on the original hatha yoga practice, as opposed to the sanitised American version, in a secluded ashram north of Mumbai. Not only we were taught the asanas but also their purpose and medical benefits, their influence on the mind. I bring all this together during my classes to improve your own practice and knowledge.

YOGA THERAPIST

If you suffer any conditions such as diabetes, hypertensipon, digestive problems, stress, anxiety, depression (to name a few) or any injuries, back problems, some specific and targetted yoga practices can help in treating the condition. This is done on a private basis and in coordination with your GP. This is done on a 1 to 1 basis, private consultations. Please contact us for further details.

PILATES INSTRUCTOR

I am a pilates instructor Level 3. Currently studying to Level 4. Trained from the classic John Pilates set of exercises and practice but also on more contemporary exercises.

EXTRA QUALIFICATIONS:


PILATES FOR COMMON ORTHOPAEDIC CONDITIONS (arthritis, spinal problems such as back or spinal pain/conditions, shoulder problems such as frozen shoulder, tendonitis, but also tennis/golf elbow, knee & hip replacement recovery, etc.

PILATES WITH SMALL EQUIPMENTS - I will show you how to incorporate small equipment, such as pilates ring, balls, straps, foam rollers in your practice.

PERSONAL TRAINER

My approach to personal training is to guide you to achieve your goal. I have also studied calisthenics training, incorporating my knowledge of pilates and yoga. I am particularly interested in building you from the inside to the outside so you have the right foundations.

YIN YOGA TEACHER

YIN YOGA  has a different approach to traditional Hatha yoga, based on traditional Chinese medicine. The muscle engagements are very specific and the benefits on the body are incredible (deep connective tissues and muscle fascia).
